Limuru III conference to be held on 17th this month

The much anticipated Limuru III conference which will spell out Mt Kenya region political stand and future is still on.

Mount Kenya Unity Forum principals led by a section of political leaders allied to Azimio la Umoja Coalition said the meeting slated for 17th of this month is not meant to name the regions Kingpin but to give Mt Kenya residents the platform to choose their political path and destination.

According to the leaders, the meeting will bring together aspirants, religious leaders, businessmen, professionals and opinion leaders from 10 counties.

However, Nark Kenya party leader Martha Karua has dismissed the invitation by the Deputy President to have a sitting with him instead of holding the Limuru III meeting.

Former Laikipia Governor Nderitu Mureithi said that the meeting has no special invites but every person who has any contribution to make has a right to attend.

The leaders said that the meeting will be a platform for Mt Kenya residents to give their views on which political tune they will dance to.
